2026 HOPYARD FARM RESIDENT
Eligibility: Swimmers Age 5 - 18 years as determined by age on June 1, 2026. All swimmers must be able to complete a 25-yard swim, which is one length of the pool unassisted.
The following are some guidelines for participation:
- Ability to swim one length of the pool (25m) of freestyle (swimmers can rest by holding onto the lane line in the pool, but cannot pull themselves along the line - they must let go to continue swimming)
- Ability/willingness to swim freestyle with face underwater
- Ability to use kickboard unassisted
- Ability to listen to directions enough to not take away from the other swimmers or become a safety risk
- Showing an effort to improve.
Parents who are unsure if their children meet the requirements are still invited to try out during the first week of practice. Coaches will assess swimmers and talk to parents individually about suitability. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
